Hmmm, just missing something that the first one had. I think because she set up a lot of scenes and situations and them cut out from them. I don’t know if that make sense…. But some of the beginning it was just moving people around. It was still good, though, just not as good as the first. Or may be my expectations were just higher.

Almost as good, but not quite. I didn’t like the sub plot as much. And some of the stuff from the evil guys perspective was just plain disturbing.
But the characters are still so real; and normal. The thing I like most of all is that Harry isn't secretly the Earl or Duke or whatever. He really is just a servent. There's no getting around that.

So very very good.
I had seen these around everywhere, but for some reason the cover and the title didn’t really combine to make me want to read it. But I am very glad I did.
Widowed Anna Wren is having a wretched day. After an arrogant male on horseback nearly squashes her, she arrives home to learn that she is in dire financial straits. What is a gently bred lady to do?
The Earl of Swartingham is in a quandary. Having frightened off two secretaries, Edward de Raaf needs someone who can withstand his bad temper and boorish behavior. Dammit! How hard can it be to find a decent secretary?
